Why an inspiring home is essential! Sometimes when I look at what I need to achieve and fit into my week it feels like it’s an insurmountable feat.

This is a brilliant but exhausting time for many of us, this is a time for entrepreneurs, creative careers, family juggling, the importance of wellbeing and looking after our planet. So where do we recharge? Where do we reconnect with our important people? It has to be our homes and this is why creating inspiring, relaxing, rechargeable spaces is essential.

It really starts with understanding what that looks like for each of us, there is no size fits all and this first step must not be rushed.

When we work with clients the discovery phase is one of the most important phases. We spend a long time getting to know every member of a household, what’s important to them, what makes them tick, what inspires them, what does recharging look like. Only then can we translate all this into incredible, inspiring design.

Don’t underestimate the importance of this process, too many times I see rooms put together because it’s “on trend” or furnishings were in the sale and whilst I love a bargain and designing for every budget this isn’t how to create the spaces we need and deserve to allow us to be our most amazing selves.
