Sadie Pizzey Interiors use a ten step process to manage all our projects. This allows us to be thoroughly organised and efficient.

SP interiors are known for our detailed design work. This provides clarity to both our clients and contractors at every stage of the design process. Every element is considered, chosen and designed as early as possible. Allowing clients have time to peruse and review the full cost impact.

Interior design is so much more than pretty finishes and furniture.

Step One – Drill Down Chat.

This in-depth meeting is where we find out everything that is important you. In advance we send a preparation document for you to think about your requirements of the project. Some clients also like to gather inspirational images, although this isn’t essential.

In the meeting we go through each space and understand practical requirements, who lives in the home, how you like to move around, entertain, relax, use each space etc, and ways to make your day to day lives more efficient. We cover design styles, inspirational spaces and places, air looms, heritage, travel, anything that reflects you and helps paint a picture of this truly unique home we are going to create. 

Step Two – Detailed Interior Space Planning & Conceptual Design

If you already have architectural plans, we take the DWG files and layer on the internal layouts. If not we carry out a survey of your home to create our own plans. We also take an inventory of everything that is going into your home, whether that’s furniture, art work, accessories or anything else. 

The detailed layouts work in correlation with conceptual images. SP Interiors create concept boards to reflect the look and feel we want to create in your home. These are just conceptual at this stage, detailed drawings are produced at a later phase.

Step Three – Design Direction Meeting For Your Interior Design Project.

This is where we take you through the initial design, discuss all the plans in detail and gather feedback for revisions. 

Step Four – Design Details For Your Interior Design Project.

Design details takes a huge amount of work, but is an essential part of the process to make sure the design is functional and contractors can build it. 

SP Interiors produce a full Interior SOW, which includes layouts, all finishes, lighting, electrical plans, heating layouts, plumbing & bathroom layouts and elevations. We also produce a full specification schedule for the principle contractor.

This is vital for establishing accurate contractor quotes and timeline.

Step Five – Joinery Drawings

We’ve all seen pretty kitchens, impressive dressing rooms, practical utility rooms, and stunning panelling, but the drawing packages behind these designs are just as impressive. 

Bespoke joinery is expensive. We begin this stage with recapping the planned locations and gathering a full list of requirements for each area.

Sadie Pizzey Interiors design and manufacture this stage to be completely custom to your needs. We take quantities of bags, wellies, saucepans and even spice jars to make sure that there are shelves, drawers and cupboards for everything.

We can also create photo realistic renders to bring the design to life.

Step Six – The Interior Design Presentation

The most exciting stage, SP Interiors present all the design boards for each space, samples, drawing packages and costs of all structural Interior Design elements (SID). So what is SID? Well if you turned your house upside down, it would be everything that doesn’t fall out! Why do we cover these costs and not furniture and furnishings now? Because the SID elements are essential to the build. If the design and costs are in line with your expectations then we move onto the F,F&E later.

Step Seven – Project fulfilment For A Construction Project.

Regular site meetings are held with all the contractors and specialists involved in the project. The term project fulfilment is used because we work alongside your contractors. We don’t project manage them and we are not responsible for them. SP Interiors attend site to collaborate, check in at all the major design implementation stages and collaboratively problem solve when issues arise. Problems arise on every project, communication and working together allows us all to come up with a solution!

Step Eight – Orders & Deliveries

There are a huge amount of moving parts in a construction project. Making sure everything is ordered, tracked and delivered on time in no mean feat.

Items get delayed, go missing, arrive damaged and we coordinate and manage this whole process. 

Step Nine – F,F&E Selection

The fun part of furniture, furnishings and accessories comes now. We have a client meeting to check in on our sourcing list and budget allocation. Then SP Interiors source and present with design boards, samples and full costs

Step Ten – Installation & styling Of A Home!

Installation of furniture and furnishings, manage deficiencies and full styling. Then the very special moment where we present you’re beautiful home!
