We explore the end goal and how to achieve beauty and practicality in our design. We chat interiors design styles and influence and discuss the important factor of budget. Sadie Pizzey Interiors get into the nitty gritty with what we call “The Drill Down Chat”. SP Interiors wants to know about everything that is important to you and your family, whether that’s work, travel, hobbies, we want to know, so we can translate it all into a design which is individual and unique to you. The site survey also happens in stage one of our design process. We work from any architect plans, but we also take many many more details. We are tracking radiators, electrical points, TV sizes, window heights, inventory etc and we also photograph everything! If it is a new construction then we log an inventory of everything that is being moved to your new home. As you can see our luxury interior design service is detailed focused.

Prior to the Drill Down Chat we ask clients to share any interior inspiration they have gathered along the way. Maybe you’ve seen a perfect piece of furniture or you’ve been travelling to some amazing destinations. We work hard to make sure all these special elements become part of your design. We then create detailed layout drawings, which focuses on the minutiae of each space. Everything from sofa placements, to kitchen layouts, to charging points, we cover it all! We design the layout in conjunctional with our conceptual design. This translates our overall plans for the design before we move to the details.

This is our first reveal of everything Sadie Pizzey Interiors has learnt about you. We begin by showing the entire layout and design direction for the whole project. Then we go through every single space in detail. Uncovering the spatial planning, the conceptual design and the ideas behind our design. It is a very exciting interior design meeting. We gather initial feedback and then leave the design with our clients for a week to peruse and analyse before gathering all the feedback and revising where necessary.

This stage is all about the details! SP interiors start to select all the internal finishes & SID (Structural Interior Design) elements for your project. Some clients love to shop with us and some prefer us to collate options, samples and images to peruse at the presentation meeting. The design details cover everything from SOW specifications for the principle contractor, to lighting and electrical plans, heating layouts, kitchen plans, bathroom details, flooring layouts, wall treatments etc. We go to into a surprising amount of interior detail! These detailed drawings are vital to the success of a project. It leads to accurate contractor quotes and efficient construction on site. Luxury interior design is far more than selecting pretty finishes!

Bespoke joinery absolutely elevates a project. Sadie Pizzey Interiors design everything from bespoke kitchens, boot rooms, dressing rooms, libraries, built-ins and the list goes in. We begin this design phase with a client meeting to discuss our proposed options for joinery. Joinery is an investment and sometimes by this stage of the project budgets need to be reviewed. SP Interiors then create full joinery packs with detailed elevations of all internal & external details & 3D images for clients to understand the finished results.

The design meeting is where it all comes together. SP Interiors presents the design detail drawings, SOW’s, joinery packages, full selection boards, sample boards and all SID (structural interior design) costs. It is such a brilliant stage of our interior design process. Turning our clients needs and wishes into a reality!

SP Interiors is the glue that holds all the internal elements together! Communication on an interior design project is vital. We make sure every contractor is kept in the loop of all interior design decisions and changes. Sadie Pizzey Interiors meets all the trades involved in the construction project and talks through the interior details and drawing packages. We are regularly on site and spend a significant part of our day collaborating on our projects. SP Interiors pride ourselves on being excellent team players. We regularly work with the same contractors because we believe that a successful project is a team effort.

There are thousands of orders that have to be managed as part of an interior design project. Scheduling and keeping on top of each trade and supplier is no mean feat. If the flooring isn’t on site on time the whole project is delayed. If the lights don’t have their transformers the electricians have to come back. This list goes on and on. Then there are the deficiencies. How many times have we ordered a simple online item and it’s gone missing, been wrong on damaged. This happens almost every day on a renovation project and SP Interiors takes the stress of scheduling, checking, and problem solving every interior element during the entire build project.

For SP Interiors luxury renovation projects, we schedule the furniture and furnishing selections at this stage of the process. Overwhelm can be huge for a client and visualising how a space will feel becomes clearer as a build unfolds. We add our initial selections to our design boards at stage four and then at stage nine we review our selections, tweak and add the finishing touches. We then present the revised boards and samples and manage the ordering of the “pretty part” of the interior design project!

When we can SP interiors prefers to use a receiver so that all the pretty items come to site together and don’t run the risk of being damaged on site. We install all furniture, window treatments, art and then style your entire home ready for the grand reveal.
