I know as an interior designer that my ideas and creations can only come to life if they are realised by the contractors. My designs are literally in these peoples hands! Luckily for me there are some incredibly, professional and reliable trades out there, who achieve great things.
Even if you are doing a project yourselves, a little book or blog of reliable contractors is invaluable. Projects are stressful and complicated. If you bring the right people onto your renovation, they will not only do a brilliant job but will guide you and advise you.

Gary and Matthew run Northgate Plastering Ltd. They are a family run business specializing in all aspects of internal and external plasterering. With over 18 years experience they pride themselves on the highest quality of standards. They can also offer drylining and screeding in addition to the plastering service.
I was actually very fortunate to have Gary and Matthew plaster my entire house and they are incredible. I have used numerous plasterers before, but Gary and Matthew’s workmanship is impeccable. They are incredibly fast, polite and tidy but the most important part is that their finish is so smooth that the walls are absolutely perfect. Also for extra entertainment they plastered on stilts, which my kids thought was brilliant.

GSK Venetian Plastering is owned by Glen Kidd. They are a small independent Venetian plastering company, producing bespoke wall finishes for the commercial and residential sectors. Glen’s work is completely bespoke to his clients wishes and he covers anything from splash backs to bathrooms. My favourite is the gold liquid metal on microcement, I can’t wait to feature this in a clients project!
