At this stage, we present the design boards for each space alongside physical samples, detailed drawing packages, and costings for all Structural Interior Design (SID) elements.

So, what exactly is SID? We like to explain it this way: if you turned your building upside down, SID is everything that doesn’t fall out. From flooring and wall finishes to lighting, bathrooms, kitchens, joinery, and other built-in elements, SID covers the essential details that shape the foundation of your interior.

At this point, we focus on SID costs rather than furniture and furnishings. Why? Because these elements are critical to the build. By addressing them first, we ensure the structural design is both aligned with your vision and realistically within budget before moving forward.

This stage is about much more than reviewing numbers — it’s about clarity, excitement, and confidence. Seeing the boards, touching samples, and walking through detailed drawings helps you visualise the finished design in a tangible way. Unlike project managers, we are not responsible for directing the contractors — instead, our role is to ensure that the vision, details, and integrity of the design are fully realised throughout the build.

We attend site at all major stages of implementation: reviewing progress, answering questions, and addressing challenges as they arise. Every project encounters obstacles, but it is through open communication, mutual respect, and collaborative problem solving that solutions are found and opportunities for innovation are created.

SID Procurement

There are hundreds of orders to be placed, tracked, and managed — from flooring and lighting to fixtures, finishes, and every specialist component in between. Each item has its place in the build schedule, and if one element is delayed or incomplete, it can impact the entire project.

If lights arrive without their transformers, electricians must return at a later date, pushing timelines further. And that’s before accounting for the all-too-common issues — items that arrive damaged, go missing in transit, or are supplied incorrectly. These problems happen daily on renovation projects, but at SP Interiors we take this stress away from you.

Our SID procurement process ensures that every interior element is scheduled, ordered, tracked, and checked from start to finish. We liaise with suppliers, coordinate with contractors, and resolve issues as they arise — no matter how small. At SP Interiors, we carefully schedule this phase later in the journey, once the build is progressing and the spaces are beginning to take shape. This timing allows you to better visualise how each room will feel, and ensures our selections are perfectly attuned to the finished environment.

Our process begins with a simple client check-in, reviewing our sourcing list and budget allocations together. We build on the initial selections we introduced back in Stage Four, revisiting, refining, and adding the final layers of design. From there, we create updated design boards and present curated samples, along with full costs, so you can clearly see how everything comes together.

To safeguard your investment and streamline installation, we advise our clients to use a professional receiver. This ensures that all furniture and accessories are stored, checked, and consolidated off-site, ready to be delivered in one coordinated moment. By doing this, we avoid piecemeal deliveries, reduce risk of damage, and create a seamless installation experience.

At this stage, SP Interiors schedules the delivery of all furniture, furnishings, and accessories to site. Wherever possible, we prefer to use a professional receiver so that every item arrives together, carefully checked and protected, minimising the risk of damage during the build.

Once everything is in place, we install the full scheme — from furniture and window treatments to artwork, accessories, and finishing details. Whether it’s a home or commercial environment, we carefully style each space so that it feels intentional, cohesive, and complete. Every cushion is plumped, every piece of art is hung, every surface thoughtfully dressed, and every detail aligned with the design vision.

This stage is about more than logistics; it is about creating the emotional and functional impact of walking into a fully realised interior.
